Where are we at?

ACCREDITATIONS

Since 2022, we’ve consistently achieved a Gold Award with The Green Tourism’s internationally respected accreditation scheme for our short stay accommodation in London.

CARBON BALANCING

Our carbon balancing credits support a windfarm project in Brazil, displacing fossil fuel-fired power plants and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

TARGETS

We set yearly reduction targets across energy, waste and carbon emissions (scopes 1 & 2).

Local and sustainable

Our in-house design team works with local suppliers to provide iconic pieces for our aparthotel in London, like our beautiful 6ft reception desk. We worked with a local sustainable furniture business to craft the table from waste offcuts of marble, giving them new life in our foyer.

Looking up

STAY Camden has brown roofs on each building that promote natural seed dispersal and increase biodiversity. They’re made from a special substrate that mimics the original ‘brown field’ site that was here before the building was constructed.

Tread lightly

The rugs in our serviced apartments in Camden are hand-woven and made from 100% recycled plastic bottles, created in collaboration with female-founded business, Holmes Bespoke.

Welcome residents

The rooftop of our apartment hotel in London plays host to our smallest guests in the form our very own bug hotel. Designed as a green sanctuary to attract various wildlife, our rooftop gives birds and insects a space to call home.

Sustainable sourcing

When you check into your apartment, you’ll be greeted with a welcome pack that contains locally sourced, environmentally conscious treats, toiletries and more. We’ve also placed water refill stations in our lift lobbies, so you can use your water carafes instead of relying on water from plastic bottles.

Behind the scenes

Everyone at Buckingham Apartments is given one paid day a year to volunteer for a cause of their choice, and we work together on canal-clean ups and charity collection activities too. Together with our parent company, LabTech, we support a number of local social and environmental initiatives through donations, fundraising and volunteering activities.

Working together for a greener world

When we work together we can achieve more, which is why we encourage you get involved too.

 

Each week at our serviced apartments in London, we collect donations of surplus or unopened food items for our local foodbank in Camden as well as unused pet items in partnership with Cats Protection.

DONATIONS

In your apartment you’ll find three-compartment bins, allowing our recycling partner to easily sort non-recyclable materials for energy to waste, so that zero waste ends up in landfill.

RECYCLING & WASTE

As a car-free site, our aparthotel in London offers complimentary on-site bike storage and you’ll find plenty of recommendations for public transport options in our e-guides, including dog-friendly options. There's also a selection of local activities, such as canal-tours, jogging maps and walking tours.

MAKING LOW CARBON CHOICES
